- KEEP YOUR WATER CLEANER - Reduces dirt, sand, silt, and rust particles to help protect your appliances, water heater, and plumbing; spun from 100% pure polypropylene that will not impart taste, odor, or color to your water.
- IDEAL HIGH-FLOW PRE-FILTER - Dual-gradient density traps coarse particles on the outer surface and fine particles toward the core, delivering up to 3X the dirt-holding capacity of similar-size sediment cartridges with very low pressure drop.
- TESTED AND CERTIFIED - Rated at a nominal 1 micron and tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements; polypropylene construction gives excellent chemical compatibility.
- SIZED FOR BIG BLUE HOUSINGS - Measures 10" x 4.5" and fits all 10-inch Pentair Pentek Big Blue and other heavy-duty housings; drops in to replace any 10" x 4.5" sediment cartridge.
- REPLACE EVERY 6 MONTHS - Change about every 6 months, or sooner when you notice a drop in water pressure or water quality; low initial pressure drop under 1 psi at 10 gpm keeps flow high.

Select a product to estimate shipping. The Pentair Pentek DGD-2501 is a 10-inch Big Blue whole-house sediment cartridge built on the DGD Series dual-gradient density design. Spun from 100% pure polypropylene, it reduces dirt, sand, silt, and rust down to a nominal 1 micron while adding no taste, odor, or color to your water.
The dual-gradient structure increases filter density from the outer surface toward the center, so coarse particles are captured on the outside and finer particles deeper in. This delivers up to three times the dirt-holding capacity of similar-size cartridges and a very low pressure drop of under 1 psi at 10 gpm, making it an excellent high-flow pre-filter ahead of carbon or specialty filters.
Measuring 10" x 4.5", it fits all 10-inch Pentair Pentek Big Blue and other heavy-duty housings and is tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements. Replace approximately every 6 months, or sooner if flow drops. Ships as a single cartridge.
